Cactus

This children’s craft will allow the child knowing better these curious fleshy plants. And it is the perfect present for Father’s Day a birthday or Christmas.

Materiales

• A plastic glove
• Water
• Paint
• Sand (or semolina)
• Plaster
• A small spoon
• Colored papers
• A clay pot or container

Pasos a seguir

Prepare the plaster following the instructions of the manufacturer. Tie the two smallest fingers of the glove. Fill the glove with the plaster that you have prepared. Hang the glove during two hours so it starts to dry.

Leave it to finish drying in a dried place, with the glove open to let humidity escape.

While the plaster dries, cut out small circles in colored paper. Make cuts around the circles.

Bend the circles: you will get a kind of cone with fringes similar to the flowers of a cactus

Cut the glove and remove the plaster figure. Paint the cactus and glue the flowers. Fill the pot with sand or semolina.
